Sphero Hack Tour 2012: Boulder
09 May 2012
The Sphero Hack Tour 2012 kicked off this past weekend with an explosive start in Sphero’s hometown – Boulder, Colorado. Hosted by the local Google offices, the event was completely at capacity with almost sixty developers in addition to Google and Orbotix employees.
The purpose of our Hack Tour is to explore the endless possibilities of Sphero – and that is exactly what developers did this weekend. They created more than twenty-five apps, and each interacted with Sphero in a different and unique way. Without further ado, we can’t wait to announce our first round of winners! Congratulations, devs.

The weekend was a wild success, and we are looking forward to seeing these apps be released after some fine-tuning by their developers. Join us for our next stop in Austin, TX on June 8th.
A huge “Thank You” to Google for hosting our kick-off hackathon, and for volunteering all weekend. Thank you as well to our investor Brad Feld for judging the competition.
